Consult · IT consulting

IT advice that ends in decisions, not slide decks.

We review your systems and tell you plainly what to fix first. We help you plan and choose software, equipment and suppliers, track down problems that keep coming back, and support your team day to day. The advice comes from engineers who also build and run the systems they recommend.

The problem

Does this sound familiar?

  • Decisions about software and servers are made without anyone weighing up the options.

  • The same IT problems keep coming back, patched but never solved.

  • Equipment and licences are bought without a plan for how they fit together.

What you get

What we take care of

Everything below is part of the service. You get one team that knows how it all fits together.

  1. 01

A clear look at your IT

An independent review of your systems, with the risks and priorities explained in plain language.

  2. 02

    A step-by-step plan

How to get from today's tools to the systems you need, in order, with the costs and what depends on what.

  3. 03

    Plan before you spend

Decisions about servers, networks, cloud services and backups, made before any money is spent.

  4. 04

    Choosing software and suppliers

What you need is written down and the options compared, including what it would cost to leave later.

  5. 05

    Fixing stubborn problems

We find the real cause of technical problems that are persistent or complicated.

  6. 06

    Security check-up

Who can access what, how systems are set up, backups and updates, checked against sensible standards.

  7. 07

    Equipment and networks

The equipment you need, specified and, where it makes sense, sourced and installed for you.

  8. 08

    IT support for your team

Practical help for your staff, with problems that keep coming back tracked down, not just patched.

All questions and answers

Is IT consulting only for big projects?

No. Many engagements take just a few days: a review, a written recommendation or help choosing between two suppliers.

Do you sell hardware and software licences?

We can supply equipment and licences when that is the sensible route. But we are not tied to any manufacturer, and our advice does not depend on what you buy from us.

Do you offer IT support for staff?

Yes. We provide IT support for your staff, with how quickly we respond agreed in the contract rather than promised on a web page.

What does an IT consultant do for a small business?

An IT consultant looks at your systems, risks and costs, recommends what to change and in which order, helps you choose suppliers and checks their work. It can be a one-off review, or ongoing advice alongside your projects.

What is an IT audit, and what do we get from it?

It is a check of your whole IT set-up: a list of your hardware, software, licences and accounts; a look at security (two-step login, updates, backups), the network and any single part whose failure would stop everything; and what all of it costs. You get a list of risks in order of priority and a plan for what to do next.

What cybersecurity basics should every small business have?

Two-step login everywhere, updates on a schedule, backups kept offline or impossible to alter, each person with only the access they need, a password manager, encrypted laptops, staff who can spot fake emails (phishing), and a one-page plan for what to do if something goes wrong.

Does NIS2 apply to my business?

It depends on your sector and the size of your business. Portugal has brought the EU's NIS2 directive into national law. It covers organisations classed as "essential" or "important", and those in scope register with the National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS), manage their risks and report incidents. Their suppliers often receive security requirements through contracts, too. A lawyer confirms whether you are in scope; we put the technical measures in place.
