Build · Custom software

Software made for the way you work, when off-the-shelf tools don't fit.

We build internal tools, customer portals and software you sell by subscription. We use proven open-source foundations, so your software can be looked after for years rather than rewritten in two.

The problem

Does this sound familiar?

  • Spreadsheets are doing the job of a proper system, and only one person understands them.

  • Three tools hold the same data, none of them talk to each other, and reports take a day.

  • An old program everyone depends on no longer gets updates and is hard to change.

What you get

What we take care of

Everything below is part of the service. You get one team that knows how it all fits together.

  1. 01

    Tools for your team

Internal tools and dashboards that replace spreadsheets and email chains with one reliable way of working.

  2. 02

    Customer and partner portals

A secure area where your customers place orders, follow progress or download documents.

  3. 03

    Software you sell by subscription

One product used by many customers, each seeing only their own data, with accounts, permissions and the tools to run it. Our own queue-management product is built this way.

  4. 04

    Connections to your other systems

Your software exchanges data with the services you already use, and other systems can connect to it, with clear documentation.

  5. 05

    Screens, kiosks and devices

Software that runs kiosks, call screens and other equipment on your premises, managed from a web browser.

  6. 06

    Updating older software

Older programs brought up to date and back under support, without stopping your business.

  7. 07

    Safe, routine updates

Every change is tested automatically and released the same way each time, so updates are routine, not risky.

  8. 08

Written down, ready to hand over

How the system is built and how to run it, written down for whoever looks after it next.

Try it

Today, and with a system of your own

Most custom software replaces a tangle of spreadsheets, emails and things only one person remembers. Switch between the two.

Show
  • Orders and requests are scattered across spreadsheets and inboxes
  • Everyone shares one password to the important tools
  • Monthly reports are built by hand, again
  • How things work lives in one person's head
  • One system, with all your information in one place
  • Everyone has their own login and access, and you can see who changed what
  • Reports whenever you need them, from the same information
  • The way you work is built into the software and written down

Questions about custom software

All questions and answers

What technology do you use to build custom software?

Proven open-source building blocks with long-term support. That way, security fixes keep coming for years, and another capable team could take over the code. We choose for each project, based on how long the software must last and who will look after it, and explain the choice in the proposal.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends on what the software has to do, so we price it in phases. We start with a short, paid first phase that maps your processes, your data and the systems it must connect to. You then get a plan in phases, each with its own estimate, so you can stop or change direction between them.

Can you work with our own developers?

Yes. We can lead the overall design, take on specific parts, review code, or help your team adopt modern ways of building and releasing software.

Should we buy software or have it custom-built?

Buy when the way you work is standard and an existing product covers most of it. Build when the way you work is what sets you apart, or when your current tools cannot be made to work together. Often the answer sits in between: an existing product connected to your other systems, or a small custom layer on top. We compare the cost over several years, licences included, before recommending either.

Who owns the source code of custom software?

Ownership is written into the proposal, so it is clear from the start. Portuguese law generally gives the rights in software made to order to the client who commissioned it, unless the contract says otherwise, but it is better to say so explicitly. Open-source parts keep their own licences, and the code should be documented so that another capable team could take over.

Can you take over software someone else built?

Yes. First we review the code, the components it relies on and their versions, the tests and the hosting. Then we modernise it step by step: automatic checks on the most important tasks first, then upgrades and replacements one part at a time, so your business keeps running throughout. Starting again from scratch is rarely the cheapest route.

Talk to us about custom software.

A few lines are enough. We reply personally, usually with a couple of questions or a time to talk. No obligation, no automated sales sequence.
