Operate

Hosting and business email, looked after by the people who built your site.

We host your website, online store or business software, and keep it updated, backed up, monitored and behind a secure connection. You also get professional email on your own domain. When something needs attention, there is one team to call.

What you get

What we take care of

Everything below is part of the service. You get one team that knows how it all fits together.

  1. 01

Hosting set up for your site

WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores and custom software, each set up for the way it works.

  2. 02

    European data centres

Servers in Europe, with where your data is kept agreed in advance.

  3. 03

    Regular security updates

Updates to the server, its software and your site applied on a schedule, with a backup taken first.

  4. 04

    Backups that are tested

Regular copies kept away from the server, and restored from time to time to prove they work.

  5. 05

    Monitoring that reaches a person

We check that your site is online, its padlock certificate is valid, the disk has space and errors are not piling up. Alerts go to a person.

  6. 06

    Fast pages

Pages kept ready to serve, compressed and, where it helps, delivered from servers closer to your visitors, without breaking logins or checkout.

  7. 07

    Professional email

Mailboxes on your own domain, with the settings that keep your messages out of spam and stop others sending as you.

  8. 08

    Your domain, kept in order

Domain renewals and domain settings managed and written down in one place.

Try it

What happens when something goes wrong

Problems happen on every server. What matters is who notices, and what they do next. Pick a situation.

  1. 1

Monitoring spots space running low, long before it runs out

  2. 2

An alert reaches a person, not a forgotten inbox

  3. 3

Old log files and backups are cleared, or more space is added

  4. 4

You get a short note saying what happened and what we did

  1. 1

Updates are applied on a schedule, with a backup taken first

  2. 2

Checks after the update spot the broken page

  3. 3

The previous version is restored from the backup

  4. 4

The plugin is fixed or replaced before trying again

  1. 1

Repeated failed logins and suspicious traffic are blocked automatically

  2. 2

Security monitoring flags anything unusual to a person

  3. 3

Access, passwords and keys are checked, and changed if needed

  4. 4

The weak point is closed, and you know what happened

The problem

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your cheap hosting slows down whenever more visitors arrive.

  • Nobody applies updates until something breaks.

  • Your emails land in spam because the settings that prove they come from you were never set up.

Habits, not promises

How we run things

The routines behind every server and site we look after.

  • Security updates on a schedule, with a backup taken first
  • Copies of your data kept somewhere else, and tested so they really work
  • Alerts that reach a person, not a forgotten inbox
  • Everyone has their own login: no shared passwords
  • Everything written down, so nothing depends on one person's memory

FAQ

Questions about managed hosting

Straight answers. Anything else, ask us directly.

All questions and answers

Can you move my website to new hosting without downtime?

We plan the move to keep downtime to a minimum: we copy the site, test it on the new server, shorten how long the internet remembers the old address, then switch. For online stores, the final copy happens at a quiet hour.

Can you guarantee my website will always be online?

We don't publish an availability figure we can't back up with evidence. Instead, we monitor your site, respond to alerts and agree response times in your contract. That commitment is worth more than a percentage on a web page.

Can I keep my current email provider?

Yes. We can host your email, or you keep your provider and we fix your domain settings so your messages are delivered reliably.

Where are your servers? Do I need EU hosting for GDPR?

In European data centres. The GDPR does not strictly require EU hosting, but personal data sent outside the European Economic Area needs a legal basis, such as an adequacy decision (the EU confirming that a country protects data well enough) or standard contractual clauses. Hosting in Europe keeps it simple, with a data processing agreement between us, as the GDPR requires.

Why do my emails go to spam? What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

Usually because your domain does not prove who is allowed to send email for it. Three settings handle that: SPF lists the servers allowed to send your email, DKIM adds a digital signature to each message, and DMARC tells receiving mail services what to do when a check fails. Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook now require all three from bulk senders, and they help every sender reach the inbox. Your website's forms should send through a properly authenticated email service too.

What should I do if my website is hacked?

Isolate the site so the damage cannot spread, restore a clean backup, close the gap that let the attacker in, change every password and key, scan again and check Google Search Console for warnings. If personal data was exposed, your business must normally notify the data protection authority (CNPD) within 72 hours.
